The Information Literacy Project of the Washington State began offering training workshops for library staff throughout the state in September 2001. The following resources are materials that were prepared for the workshops. Please feel free to download and print for yourself, your staff and your library's users.
These handouts, distributed at our training workshops, provide library staff with an introduction to the principles and practices of information literacy. They range from information about what is information literacy and where to go for further information to tips on how to implement information literacy in your library.

Handouts for Library Users
The Project has produced several brief and handy guides for you to print out and use with your library customers. Feel free to customize them for your library-put your library's name and logo on them! You might even want to make them available at your library's web site! These handouts are also available for the general public to access from www.librarysmart.com, the site we developed for library users to start their search for information literacy resources.
